It’s a common practice to offer shuttle bus services to press media in major sports events. The 6th East Asian Games follows this tradition and provides transportation convenience for journalists commuting between MPC, venues and hotels.

Following the plan of the Organizing Committee, Shuttle bus drivers began to familiarize themselves with the routes from September 29, and went on services duly on October 5. Days of driving registered their dedication and diligence, zero incidents and zero passenger complaints.

The specialty of press media work, especially the time requirement, made it rather uneasy for a well-planned transportation service. Liu Zishun, a member of commuting services, said the car arrangement might be rescheduled at any time. For instance, on the morning of October 8, a large shuttle bus had been arranged heading for Badminton competition venue in Da’gang Gymnasium, but was changed to a sedan for only one Korean journalist needed to go there. Similar changes were made to save resources and meet needs.

It is such a group of common people serving humbly and dedicatedly for the East Asian Games. May we never forget them, without whose efforts, the Games cannot proceed smoothly.
