Wang Jinsheng, Deputy Secretary-General of Tianjin CPC Municipal Committee, Secretary-General of the Sixth EAG Organizing Committee and Director-General of its Execution Bureau, during his interview with central and local media, expressed that Tianjin EAG would curb extravagancy and practice frugality to the root.

Wang Jinsheng said: “following the requirements of CPCCC, Tianjin Municipal Committee, and Tianjin Government, we firmly act in the spirit of running games economically when preparing for the 6th East Asian Games. We take forceful measures to cut down on budget expenses for a Games costing least. ”

The Execution Bureau of Tianjin EAGOC makes changes to the venues holding the opening and closing ceremonies. The opening ceremony is changed from Tianjin Olympic Center Stadium to Tianjin Sports Stadium, while closing ceremony from Tianjin Sports Stadium to Tianjin Grand Hall Theater, in a bid to saving costs. Ritual processes of the opening ceremony are simplified with only necessary steps being kept. Appropriate recreational and sports performances are to be on stage.
