Zhu Liping, Standing Committee Member of Tianjin Municipal CPCC and Secretary of Tianjin Education Work Committee, and Cao Xiaohong, Deputy Mayor of Tianjin visited Tianjin Health Industry Park and inspected Bowling, Shooting, Hockey, Baseball and Squash venues and Velodrome. An onsite meeting was convened for learning the venue construction and operation reports and solving existing problems. People in-charge from EAGOC, relative Municipal government bodies and Jinghai County were present at the meeting.

Zhu Liping and Cao Xiaohong recognized the progress of EAG venue construction, and highlighted venue construction as basic precondition and important guarantee for the Games. They pointed out that the preparation entered into count-down phase as the Games would be held in less than 3 months. All relative departments, areas and units should continue to work hard, diligently and resourcefully, striving for a high-level sports event. Venue construction should be sped up with sports equipment and apparatuses well installed and tested, aiming to complete the construction timely, safely and with high quality. Specialized teams should be made up for sound venue operation, standard and detailed management, comforting to international rules and requirements. The surrounding environment should be bettered by masses mobilization, high-level beautification and forestation, maintaining accessible and convenient traffic conditions, and fostering a clean and pretty image. Relative municipal departments and Jinghai County should offer more support and services, solve existing problems onsite proactively, and safeguard the ample supply of water, electricity and gas, making duty-bound contribution to the successful holding of East Asian Games.
