On April 6, the Preliminary competition of Women’s Basketball Youth team of the 12^th National Games was held in Tianjin College Students’ Stadium. As the sponsor, Tianjin Polytechnic University took this competition as a trial test for checking the comprehensive operations of the stadium, including its infrastructures, softwares, etc.

Xie Delong, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee Execution Bureau, said that 21 venues for 24 main EAG competition items would hold trial tests from now on until the late August. Taking example of Tianjin College Students’ Stadium, it only held Aerobics Competition and 2012-2013 CUBS. Therefore, it’s necessary to test its operation performance before holding EAG basketball matches.

Yang Jidi, Deputy-secretary-general of CPC Tianjin Polytechnic University Committee, said that altogether 6 teams participated the Preliminary competition of National Games Women’s Basketball Youth teams. “We would take this competition as a test to better our hardwares—infrastructures, supply of electricity, water and gas, audio and visual effects, as well as softwares—the operation mode and system of the whole venue. Failings will be spotted and ameliorated before the East Asian Games.”
