For the last few days, representatives from 9 countries and regions attending the 29th EAGA Council Meeting and the 6th East Asian Games Chefs de Mission Seminar toured the Haihe River by boat on the evening to appreciate the splendid views on both banks, or set foot on venue tracks to closely experience their humanistic designs. They are looking forward to the East Asian Games held in Tianjin next year, unanimously stating they believe Tianjin will host a high-level East Asian Games.

“How beautiful!”, exclaimed Mr. Timothy FOK, Honorary President of the East Asian Games Association, who had came to Tianjin long before. He marveled at the development and changes of the city. Pointing at Beian Bridge, he said: “It is really like a bridge over the Seine! I once toured the Seine, so I can tell the Haihe River’s night views are more beautiful than the Seine; its sight of lights is particularly beautiful, there are not so many lights on the banks of the Seine. Ancient architectures by the Haihe River have been well protected and news buildings also have unique styles, so Chinese and Western cultures combine with perfection and coexist in harmony here.” Jugder Otgontsagaan, Secretary General of Mongolian National Olympic Committee, told the journalist that the architectures by the Haihe River had deeply impressed him. Tianjin has been developing very fast. I have visited Tianjin for more than 10 times. I came here last time just two years ago, but Tianjin’s changes were unexpected for me. The city is more beautiful and presents us a vigorous Tianjin.
