In a highly defensive game, Hungary won the battle, shutting down Greece in an entertaining match. After the game, Hungary got the 5th place of 14th FINA Women's Water Polo World Cup. Greece was at the 6th.
In the opening period, Hungary played with an intense attack, scoring 5 unanswered goals totaly till 4 mimutes 53 seconds. Greece just got one chance to shoot successfully at the remaining 59 seconds.The first quarter ended up with the score of 5-1.
Greece found the feeling of shooting at the second period. They scored 2 consecutive goals at 1 minute 5 seconds and 2 minutes 9 seconds respectively.But at the remaining time of this period, Hungary seemed to control the game again. They shot 3 scores and Greece just scored successfully one goal in the remaining time of the second quarters. The total score for the first two periods is 4-8, Hungary went ahead temperarily.
Both sides made a draw with the score of 2-2 in the third quarter. Hungary was swimming straight to the next clear victory at the beginning of the 4th period.Number 12 for Hungary scored the first goal at 1 minute 18 seconds of this quarter.After 15 seconds, number 6 from Greece caught one chance to shoot successfully.In the remaining of this quarter, Hungary took great advantage of the whole situation. They displayed no chance to their opponent, scoring 5 consecutive goals. Number 4 from Hungary scored the last goal with definitive score of 7-16 of the whole match. Hungary won this game with excellent performance.
