On Aug 16th the first day competition of 2005 Vanke World Water Ski Championship has been ended in a strong rain. Because of the heavy rain, the Preliminaries Trick Men 4/3 and Preliminaries Trick Women 4/3 which should be held this afternoon were forced to delay.Jonathan (HKG) has taken the title of Preliminaries Slalom Men 5/6. Two athletes tied for second place, Fortamps Olivier (BEL) and Park Jachong (KOR)

In the Preliminaries Slalom Women 5/4/3, Llewellyn Britta Grebe (Aut) caught the headlines. Nowlan Karina (AUS) got the second place. Ross Megan (NZE) was at the third place.
