In the afternoon of 26th Jun 2005, Kuno, president of ISWF, made a special trip to Vanke Dongli Lake, Tianjin from America to see the preparation of the Vanke Cup World Water Ski Championship 2005. Accompanied by Xi Youyu, director of the Aquatic Sport Center of General Administration of Sport; Liu Weidong, deputy secretary-general of Chinese Water Ski Association and Cha Yamin, developing director general of Vanke Dongli Lake Tianjin, Kuno have inspected the rostrum, water slide, etc. of this championship.

After seeing the condition of water slide and other spots, Kuno satisfied that the WWSC,2005 can be held in such a world class playing area.

During this visit in Tianjin, Kuno was very satisfied with the preparing work for the WWSC, 2005 and deemed highly of the preparation. He believed that under hard work from all the participants this championship will be held successfully.
